Subject: Partners: Register for Dads Take Your Child to School 2012!

Schools, Head Starts, and Community Partners,

New York State's annual "Dads Take Your Child to School" event will be held this year on Thursday, September 20, 2012.
We are excited to let you know that registration is open for 2012! It is important that all sites/partners register so that everyone can see who else is participating. This helps us link potential partners, districts, and neighborhoods, and also shows the statewide impact of the event (last year, over 9,000 dads participated statewide!).

Dads Take Your Child to School happens on one day in September, but we know it is a catalyst to keep fathers and positive male role models involved in schools and Head Start programs throughout the year. Let's help them get off to a great start! Please log on to https://sites.google.com/site/dtyctsny/sign-up and register your school or organization to participate in Dads Take Your Child to School. For more information, you can log on to https://sites.google.com/site/dtyctsny/home. We especially encourage you to download the new DTYCTS Organizing Guide<https://01e6fa81-a-62cb3a1a-s-sites.googlegroups.com/site/dtyctsny/resources/tools-and-resources/DTYCTS%202012%20Organzing%20Guide.pdf?attachauth=ANoY7crNrS_Ih4V4bUf0rDFtNS31tUJUbC9_o19fnLhFfNW24iaL9bEdoKbaZieCVrfxj29JkfMf1POV7tt817bpFCEqPMMA3NkCHgWTpfgfws>, which contains useful resources and planning ideas - including how you can connect this event to school safety, family literacy, parenting skills, and more.

If you have any questions, please reply to this email and we will put you in touch with the appropriate people.
