Despite the short notice, (we just received confirmation from TSI that they
were able to procure a trainer) I hope you will be excited and willing to
join us March 2, 3, 4 and 5th for a training by Teaching Strategies, Inc. on
the "Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers". We have procured the funds to
pay for the purchase of Creative Curriculum for any child care site that is
interested in implementing it. The training will provide a solid
understanding of the curriculum and how to implement it in your program. We
believe that having a quality curriculum is a foundation for quality child
care programming and we are thrilled to have the ability to offer this to
you.
We have contracted with Teaching Strategies for a trainer to conduct the
four-day session in our training room at the Oriskany site. She is coming to
do the training for Council staff and since they will allow up to 45
participants, we are opening it up on a first come, first serve basis to our
members.
If you are interested in attending this training, please register with
Mariann Joslin ASAP. We expect that the seats will go fast. While I stated
that the training would be extended free of charge, we are going to ask that
you sent us $25 per registered person. If that person attends, we will give
them back the registration fee at the end of the 4 day training session. If
they are a "no-show" we will not refund the registration fee. This is our
way of ensuring that there will not be empty seats from no-show registrants
after what we expect will be maxed-out registration causing us to turn other
interested parties away.
Please feel free to share this with anyone in our Herkimer, Madison and
Oneida county area that may not be on my email list.
If you would like to learn more about Teaching Strategies, please ck the
website by coping and pasting this address or holding down your control key
and clicking on the links: www.teachingstrategies.com or for an overview of
the Creative Curriculum:

One more thing....lunch will be provided.
