Dear Directors
I recently learned at a meeting that the Eat Smart NY (ESNY) program in
Oneida County is willing to provide 6 hours of on-site training to child
care center staff free of charge, if at least 50% of the children enrolled
in your center are eligible for programs such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc.
See the sessions listed below.

Listed below are the six classes and some of the information. Let me know

Lesson 1- Enrollment paperwork, Food guide pyramid, Portion
Distortion--serving sizes
Lesson 2- Reading food labels--- sometimes adding a mini calcium lesson
Lesson 3- Fruits and vegetables
Lesson 4- Making the most out of your food dollar--Budgeting
Lesson 5- Live It, Don't Diet!--- Balancing/exercising/Sugar lesson/Salt
and fat lesson/ varies on the audience
Lesson 6- Exit paperwork and food safety lesson
