Below is the information from Linda Robbins regarding the ESNY training
for center staff in Herkimer County. Same as Oneida County, it would entail
6 hrs of free training. Let us know (or Linda) if you are interested.

We would basically be offering the same program that we offer families.  We 
always try to individualize based on questions and needs of the 
participants.  I know our staff person noted that in her initial discussion 
there was interest in information on "feeding toddlers, reading food 
labels, snacks, and general nutrition".  We collect a food behavior 
checklist and food recall as we do on all our clients, so information is 
individualized as far as getting their own personal pyramid and dietary 
printout, etc.

So information may be more for their personal growth and development 
regarding nutrition, but it would apply to their work setting too.  Maybe 
Richelle knows, but in talking with Ellen, she thought that parents bring 
their own food for their children.  Not sure, but hopefully working with 
staff on nutrition information could help them share better information 
with parents on food choices.
