Hello, 

At the Manager's meeting this week, Home Office clarified one piece of
information that was included in the 12/03/10 e-mail below. Originally,
information provided by Home Office noted that the new automated waiver
process in CCFS would replace the Fingerprint Waiver Form. 

 

It has been clarified that the Fingerprint Waiver Form will still be
required for persons requesting to be associated to additional facilities.
The form is being updated and the requirement that it be stamped will be
eliminated.  

 

The form will be submitted to the licensor/registrar. Once the form is
received, the licensor/registrar will process the request in CCFS and the
form will be maintained in the case file. The Fingerprint Waiver Form will
not be submitted to the Criminal History Review Unit. 

 

I'll keep you updated as I receive more information. I hope the initial
confusion on the use of this form will not cause any inconvenience. Please
let me know if you have questions. Thanks.

Hello All,

I wanted to update you with some recent changes to the OCFS Website. 

 

CCFS now provides fully automated submission of fingerprint waivers. It
should be noted that this waiver process replaces both the Modality Change
Form and the Fingerprint Waiver Form.

 

Several changes have been implemented on the Day Care Search function:

Search now  includes School District

There is a display indicator that provider operates during non-traditional
hours. This is defined as follows:

*	Traditional hours of care are defined as:   SACC -  Monday through
Friday two hours before and three hours after school, when school is in
session, and full days following regular opening and closing times during
school breaks and vacations; 
*	DCC, FDC and GFDC - Monday through from Friday 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
*	Non-Traditional is defined as anything outside these parameters

Any reference to a "Serious"  violation no longer appear on the Website. The
wording has been changed from "Is there currently unresolved serious
violation" TO "Is there currently an uncorrected violation" 

 

The question  & answer to "Has there been a serious violation in the past 2
years" has been removed from the Website.
