Child Care and Head Start Funding Call-In Day

 
Today, November 15th, we are asking you to participate in a national call-in
day urging Congress to continue to invest in funding for child care, Head
Start, and the Early Learning Challenge Fund in the FY 2011 appropriations
bill. The National Women's Law Center is organizing this call-in and has
provided a toll-free number to use.

Please call and tell your representative not to leave Washington until
they've secured this critical funding for our youngest learners.

Without additional federal funding, as many as 300,000 children could lose
child care and Head Start and many families will lose out on the care they
need to work.  It is critical that we continue to make our voices heard to
let Congress know not to cut investments in early care and education.
