UPCOMING Child Care Council Trainings:
CDA classes will be open to anyone wanting to take just one or more of the trainings. There is a $35 fee for each class, held every Wednesday night from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Farm & Home Center in Oriskany. 3.5 training credit will be earned for each class attended.
February 1 - Infant/Toddler Development, topic area 1
February 8 - Secure Attachment, topic area 2
February 15 - Preschool Development, topic area 1
February 22 - Health & Safety, topic area 2 and 4
February 29 - Early Education Assessment, Part 1, topic areas 1 and 3

PITC Module 3: Let's Look at Brain Development in Infancy.   March 12, from 6 pm - 9pm at the Oneida County Farm & Home Center.
PITC Module 3:  Exploring Six Discoveries of Infancy.  March 19, from  6 pm - 8 pm at the Oneida County Farm & Home Center.
PITC Module 3:  Recognizing Language and Communication as it Relates to Young, Mobile and Older Infants (Toddlers)  Part 1 of 2.  March 26, from 6pm to 8pm at the Oneida County Farm & Home Center

Medication Administration Training
This course is a mandatory component of gaining NYS certification to administer medications to the children in your program.

Fri., February 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. @ Farm & Home Center, Oriskany (Independent Study)
Fri., March 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. TBA in Herkimer County

MAT Fee: $120, non-refundable. The independent study MAT course tuition is $80. Health & Safety Competency Training for Family/Group Family Child Care Providers
This training fulfills the mandatory 15 hour Health & Safety training requirement necessary to become a NYS regulated family or group family child care provider. Presented by a NYS certified Health & Safety trainer.

March 12, 13, & 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day @ Canastota Library, Canastota
Fee: $260 reimbursable through SUNY Health & Safety Rebate upon registration. Please note that payment must be received via money order or bank cashier's check.  If you have any questions on this training, call Tammy at 223-7850 x 222 or email taa24 at cornell.edu.

Creative Arts & Education Fair - April  28 from 10 am to 2 pm at MVCC, Utica Campus. We are looking for interested programs to host an interactive booth for kids 2 yrs to 10 yrs.  If interested, please contact Mariann at mj284 at cornell.edu
