Subject: FW: two FREE FASD trainings in Syracuse/Ogdensburg- oriented to those providers/agencies working with youth and adolescents (May 21 and May 22)

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) - estimated one in 100 births is affected by alcohol. Alcohol is a teratogen, causes brain damage to the developing fetus - not every fetus is affected the same way. Come learn more at these 2 free trainings near you.

Where are these children? What do they look like when they grow up? What are their special needs? What are the signs and symptoms of a youth with an FASD? What can You do to help? How can you change your practice to meet their needs?

Please pass it on to all staff who work with children, youth and families (youth bureaus, schools, mental health, college students, probation, military, home visitors, medical services, foster care/group homes, etc.)
THANKS!
