Hello!

Mohawk Valley Community College has an exciting program that I would like your help in getting the word out on.   The Young Entrepreneur Academy (YEA!) is a 30 week program that helps youth ages 12 - 16 take an idea and build it into a business.  The program has three excellent instructors that really help the students develop their idea and then implement it.  In addition, they go on field trips and have numerous guest speakers.  The program meets once a week from 4 - 7 pm on our Utica Campus from November - May.

At the end of the program the youth compete in a "Shark Tank" like panel for actual money to help them kick off their businesses.   In last year's graduating class, we sent our local winner to the national competition and she came in 3rd in the country.  She won a full scholarship to MVCC and a $30K scholarship to R.I.T.   She is 12 years old.

The course is $299.  Most students received 75% scholarships last year.  Or you can visit the link below to learn more about the program.
