Winning Beginning NY has reached out to the Child Care Resource and Referral agencies to ask for our help in disseminating a workforce survey (explanation is below). We all know that the field of early education is low in areas of pay and benefits, but it is important to collect this information and be able to show that in concrete numbers. This is an opportunity to contribute and be the first step towards advocating for change! Please consider completing the survey and having your staff do the same.

Thank you for your consideration of this request!

Dear Early Childhood Professional,
We Need Your Input!<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1HcvKE73v9mcSdez1w1lo0LpbJ05dMksT5beloQVLhgI/viewform?usp=send_form> The Early Care & Learning Council is committed to ensuring the early childhood education profession is well supported and recognized as vital and performing a critical role in society. Compensation of early childhood professional is central to this commitment and an issue we work to address in partnership with Winning Beginning NY (WBNY).
WBNY’s Workforce issue group focuses on state policies and strategies to address critical issues impacting the early childhood workforce; specifically to increase compensation and to improve access to effective early childhood professional preparation and development.
WBNY has identified as one of its priorities to work towards improving early childhood professionals’ compensation and access to benefits. To inform this work a survey has been developed to gather information on current compensation and benefits of New York’s early childhood workforce.
Your participation in this survey<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1HcvKE73v9mcSdez1w1lo0LpbJ05dMksT5beloQVLhgI/viewform?usp=send_form> will provide essential information to support WBNY’s advocacy work on this critical issue. The survey is anonymous, and all individual data will be confidential. As the survey is being released by multiple partners of WBNY, we ask that you help us ensure reliable results by completing the survey only once.
Inside the attached letter you will find links to the survey (one in English, one in Spanish). Please utilize these to send to your network or providers. A summary of the survey findings will be available on the Winning Beginning NY website at www.winningbeginningny.org<http://www.winningbeginningny.org> after November 30th.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this very important effort.
