The following trainings are coming up through the end of April/beginning of March.  There are still a few spots open in the Autism trainings, so make sure you register now before they fill up!

April 21st at CCE Oneida from 6pm to 8pm

$10 holding-fee, reimbursed to those who attend. Payment confirms registration.

One in 68 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  What is it?  How is it diagnosed?  What strategies can I implement if I am caring for a child with Autism or have children with ASD in my class?  These and many other questions will be answered at this workshop.  This workshop will be helpful to those who work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school aged children.  The instructors come from the Margaret L. Williams Developmental Evaluation Center of the Golisano Children's Hospital.  Mary Warren is an occupational therapist with over 30 years of experience working with and evaluating young children with special needs.  Mardie Ninno is a special education teacher with over 35  years of experience working with infants, toddlers and preschoolers with special needs.

Music enriches the lives and learning of children through all areas of development.  Music is enjoyable and fun.  Let's look at music's impact on development and practical ways to bring music into your program.  Bring your voice, bodies and ideas - let's have some fun and end your evening making a musical instrument to share.

May 16th at CCE Oneida from 6pm to 8pm

$10 holding-fee, reimbursed to those who attend. Payment confirms registration.

The Zones of Regulation is a curriculum geared toward helping children gain skills in consciously regulating their actions, which in turn leads to increased control and problem-solving-abilities.  This session will introduce the program and provide visuals and strategies for immediate implementation.  Zones of Regulation will be the most help to those providers and teachers who work with older preschoolers and elementary school aged children.  Participants should bring a glue stick and a pair of scissors.  Limited spots are available for this training.
