<p class="MsoNormal">Does anyone have a tried and true strategy for engaging parents to their child’s education?, have a special connection to parents of their enrolled children? We need you!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Cornell sponsors a program called “Connecting with Kids” that provides free sessions once or twice a year.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In late March (an evening presentation) the topic will be “How to Engage Parents as Partners in their Child’s Education”. We are looking for a team of three to sit on a panel: an administrator (owner/director), a teacher and a parent from
one site to serve as panel member to present their view on a model program that engages parents. We are hoping to recruit this team of 3 from a center based, family or group family program. When first approached I thought of a Head Start because I know they
work hard on this component. However, because it IS required for the HS programs to do this, the organizers were hoping to get a program that has implemented something without it being required.
<o:p></o:p></p>
